Cordelia Vataea, pirate and captain of the notorious ship Splendor, has always known about the legendary healing stone of the Knusaijax Underdark, the Makah’rye. All of her life, she has heard stories about the wondrous powers that it can bestow, and - worse - the devastating consequences for the rest of the world if it is used. Yet when her younger sister, Anastasia, falls into a magical coma that may or may not be Delia’s fault, she has no choice but to find the Makah’rye and use it to save her sister.
